- Why did you select it?
- Cultural landscape - location next to Cultural Heritage - Jelgava Palace in opposite side of river.
- Natural landscape - riverbank is covered with natural vegetation, in oposite side of river, there are territory in protection of Natura 2000.
- Urban environment - location geographically - in the city center. Population in this town is approx. 60 000 inhab. Students in university are approx. 4500, and for major part of students, this city is not hometown.
- Important social role - one part of the meadow is place for picnics or barbeque, jogging etc.
- Is it exemplary for a specific theme or a problem?
Interaction of several landscape use types in one place.
- In how far does it relate to your life?
I am studying the landscapes of rivers, and this situation is well known to me also in daly life.
