Rationale: Why have you selected this case study area?
After listening to online lecture of Asan Suwanarit from Thailand, who showed us how big problem flooding can be, I've decided to explore this problem more in other countries. There are many countries which have problems with flooding, but India is a very poor country that doesn't have a set of possibilities for expensive solutions that would prevent flooding. New Delhi is the capital of India, which lies on the river Yamuna. This river often causes flooding and unfortunately takes victims.
Authors' perspectives
As a landscape architect, throughout my studies, whatever I analyzed, I alwayes needed to look try climate adaptation aspect. Climate is constantly changing which is crucial to future planning of any landscape. Having that in mind, and analyzing the history of similar climate changes, I can propose solutions for mitigation of the case study area problems.
