Round of Introductions
After a short explanation of the LE:NOTRE background of the seminar, the seminar participants were asked to localise themselves on the European and World maps and to introduce themselves shortly.
Seminar Lecture: Culural Landscapes
The session started with an introductory lecture to (cultural) landscapes by Diedrich Bruns, Kassel University, dealing with the perception of landscape . The lecture was continued by Heike Kaiser, explaining...

Seminar Process
In the second part of the session an introduction to the seminar structure and working process was given.
Theory Reading and Distribution of Themes
After this, the theory reading exercise was presented. The participants were asked to select a theme of the participation topic map. The result looked like this:
The next step is now to select a reading in the respective section from the Literature and Resources Participation page. The participants will then transform the content of the text into a concept map. The results will be presented and discussed during the third theory session on November 17.
Theory Reading Exercise
A quick feedback round showed that students had basically understood the task and the functionality of the WIKI. So had problems to decide for one specific theme. Please make your decision soon as we intend to plan the short concept map presentations at the end of next week's meeting.
