CASE STUDY A Morii Lake Island The island has a unique value and also it has high potential value in term of sustainability and planting design. The island looks as a garden classically designed; its order is based on symmetric axis lines. But the author tells us that this space is perceived as a modern space. Maybe that perception is provided by the freedom use that we can do of it. There are rigid network of walks, but nevertheless you can cross garden without respect this order. Also, the land is flat without changes in its topography which reinforces the idea of abstract space. This public space is an enormous square that is surrounded of city skyline. I also think that it would be fine to treat island edge, creating spaces to allow enjoying of the water. Also pointing out that planting design might be completely artificial and be used to express symbolic meaning

CASE STUDY B BOAVISTA GREENWAY I know this Porto Avenue, because i live near of that city. This road is a structural connection in between important and interesting areas of Porto. And it is a valuable public space for urban life by itself. Cross section can be useful from historic perspective, but i think is needed to take account of flows of people walking or cycling day by day trying to study the potential of the way from sustainable perspective. Melding different needs of the society like road traffic and natural, it is so interesting that how urbanization changes the landscape and how people try to adopt different urban aspects by passing the time and modernity to landscape.

CASE STUDY C SAROORNAGAR LAKE In my opinion is important to improve environmental aspects of this urban area. It is necessary to analyze hydrological systems, vegetation and fauna in order to get an ecosystem that provides a natural space for citizens. Designing a proposal for this lake is a chance to develop new urban areas according to sustainable criteria. Problems of today’s world like growing societies and urban areas which increase pollution and supersede animal populations from their environment. Also water treatment is now very import because of climate changing and urbanization.
