Dear Delizia,Urora and Alexandru,

Thank you very much for your group work. We have been supervised from the diversity among the case studies. And we would like to have further discussion with you about your analysis and design approaches.

Case study A - Brühlgutpark

Ecological consideration - Interesting transformation from villa garden to public park a good idea to suggest an area for an ecological zone.

-What are the elements can be considered as perspectives to combine planting design and Ecology? For example: Irrigation system vs. nature water circulation in the concern of maintenance. before vs. after introducing and inviting specific plant species or habitants to the site in the concern of ecosystem etc.

Urban context - good solution for dealing with the old trees, link between old and new is appreciable. This is one of the strongest design points of the park, that the design focus is around the old tree's, instead of the other way around. park-design respects the history, contains the basic elements and does not include too much - What are the specific values of its historical background in the park. For example: the past industrial environment is with individual spatial attractions. The attention from people from old trees here due to its significant size. Etc.And what are elements can be integrated into planting design to express and elaborate it? From the perspective of architect, Is there a link between the old industry and the layer structure of the plants?

Social function - The park has a good usage for all kinds of people, older people, as well as kids, which you can see that the park was well received by the population, the result is that there are different groups together. - Who are the target group to be encouraged to take place in this part? And why? For example: Retired people who need meeting points,30-60 years old people who need to get relax after work. Students who normally take public part Kids who require safe play ground daily? Then what kind of social activities can be introduced here? The park layout will be even more specifically developed according to social needs.

Case study B - Izvor Park and the Dambovita Canal

It is a very exiting case as a bottom-up urban public space. We are looking forward to see how this project will be developed and self-motivated from the public will.

Case study C- Gaiás Hill from Sar pastures

Nature - This is actualy a difficult case project because of the geography and terrain, it's a CITY on ROCKS. -How to distinguish different landscape features on the site from this analysis? For example: artificial area- landscaped area behind the building at the top, human intervention working together with nature circulation-farming, nature flood plain with relative min. human touch.

Complex system -the unique social, economical together with ecological system works accordingly in this case. and It is very exiting to see both the old plants and animal detritus for fertilizing the ground in an ecological way. - What are the specific concerns could help to realize lower maintenance (from perspective of economical activities, irrigation system, ecological circulation, political attention, even transportation) and if it is possible to integrate them in to a system proposal as a complex? -

Analysis Perspectives - It would be very interesting to know the opinion from local inhabitance about the urban development process. Such as the result of giant cut in a the top of the hill, and investigate how is spatial experience in different areas and how landscape attractions appears according to different latitudes - Among the feature of local agriculture system, historical fragmented town fabric, brutal contemporary urbanization intervention, local natural weather, water and earth situation etc. all these concerns, what is the leading concern for urban development in terms of planting design in this case from the designer’s perspective?
