Kouhsangi [“kouh”: mountain , “sangi”: Rocky] is one of the oldest and most evocative promenades in the southwest of Mashhad city[1]. The name is derived from the two rocky mountain overlooks the town. Before the city expansion it placed in suburbs, and there was a good view to city and the mountains always welcome to climbers , especially in the summer nights and cold winter days.
Kouhsangi is a Cultural-recreational-sport Complex that presented combination of Recreational and sport activities with cultural aspect in a natural context inside a city.
Mashhad is the one of the most Important city for Muslims [Shia Branch]because of the Shrine of ‘Alī ibn Mūsā al-Ridhā [2]. Most of Iranian like to visit his shrine. because of that many pilgrimages and tourist visit Mashhad and need some other places for recreation also. and Kouhsangi is the first destination in this regard. I have visited Mashhad many time from childhood to now and always I had good memory of this site and its view to city.
