Seminar schedule
Heike welcomed everyone to the forth session, explained the agenda and pointed out the seminar schedule. You can find the overall seminar schedule here: Course schedule.
Student presentations II - Assignment 2: Analysis of a Landscape Transect
The session continued with a short introduction into Assignment 2 by Doris.
Afterwards, several student groups presented their landscape transects on several slides. All students had been requested to watch the transect videos individually before the session.

Afterwards, there was a discussion led by Doris and Heike according to the following questions:
Next steps
After the discussion, Heike explained in brief the next steps according to Assignment 3 and reminded the students of the previous email accordingly. She also asked the students to distribute points according to the question if they had understood or not understood the next steps. In addition she asked if some of the students had already a specific case study in mind.
Questions / Answers
In general, the students are asked to use their respective discussion page of the current assignment to ask questions. These sections will be checked by the group mentors on a regular basis.
Moreover, Heike asked the group who of them would like to attend this online seminar in a continuation after November 30 so that the organisational team can plan the further schedule:

The next session will be on Nov 23, 2010, mainly consisting of two guest lectures and a joint discussion.
