Beginning with Bowman Field and Tillman Hall in the background, this sentimental place for the university is home for many historical and special events. In addition, this open green provides a public space for students, as well as other people, to gather and/or enjoy private time. Many sunny days find students lounging on the green studying, throwing Frisbee, or perhaps building a “Habitat for Humanity” house. Other special events experienced here are Homecoming, where all the floats are built by the different organizations on campus. Several memorials are also found in the vicinity highlighting the different classes and achievements of the university. Tillman Hall, dedicated in 1891, was originally called the Agriculture Building. It is home to the melodious bell tower chiming at the top of each hour. | |||

Sailing, motor boating, and kayaking activities can often be seen in this spot. Crew clubs also enjoy this spot on the water early mornings on weekdays as they practice. The restaurant chain obviously serves great chicken on a fast food basis, and is a staple at most Clemson football tailgates! There is a branch on the university campus as well. Chick-Fil-A supports many different school programs from Primary school all the way to the university level. It is an integral part of a greater restaurant “row,” which is located along the gateway to the town of Clemson, South Carolina. | |||

The attached three photos showcase what we find to be three of the more popular places around Clemson University, and thus the town of Clemson, South Carolina. These snapshots capture a glimpse into daily life in the Upstate of South Carolina.
Bowman Field and Tillman Hall
Beginning with Bowman Field and Tillman Hall in the background, this sentimental place for the university is home for many historical and special events. In addition, this open green provides a public space for students, as well as other people, to gather and/or enjoy private time. Many sunny days find students lounging on the green studying, throwing Frisbee, or perhaps building a “Habitat for Humanity” house.
