== Round of Introductions ==

The seminar was attended by 35 participants. Some attendees represented groups of students such as the Universities in Ankara, Belgrade, Buenos Aires, Damman and Kassel. For these groups: please make sure that you pass the e-mail addresses of all participants to the seminar coordinator. In addition, there are some individual participants and the students from the IMLA Master programme who are currently doing internships.

== Seminar Objectives ==

Images from different landscapes and open spaces were shown in order to make sure that this seminar will deal with people's everyday environment on which they are very much dependant. The seminar will provide theoretical knowledge in the field of landscape assessment. Students are asked to apply different methods in practice using the example case of an everyday landscape they find in their daily environment.

== Towards and International Landscape Convention ==

Kathryn Moore, as IFLA representative, presented the activities related to the establishment of an International Landscape Convention which was hoped to be supported by UNESCO. In a first attempt, the proposal was not brought forward in UNESCO. However, IFLA continues promoting the idea.
