This natural space is a forestal area close to the city of Valencia. Since year 2000, is classified like a Natural Park.
It's an area that nowadays people knows like the "Valencia's lungs". This park has been suffered many fires in the last 100 years, and now people is trying to preserve it better.
This place has many different kinds of mediterranean vegetation, and it's the habitat for many different kinds of mediterranean fauna.

* ''Why did you select it?''

I selected it because the regional government is trying to create a Green Infrastructure, and this area (very close to Valencia, the capital of the region) in the future will be an important piece on this Infrastructure, because it's a big natural space, it's close to the city and it will be able to connect with other big natural areas.

* ''Is it exemplary for a specific theme or a problem?''

It's an exemple for how to introduce the natural spaces in urban areas, and how we can connect them

* ''In how far does it relate to your life?''

The town where I grow is under the first mountains of this Natural Park.

This natural space is a forestal area close to the city of Valencia. Since year 2000, is classified like a Natural Park.
It's an area that nowadays people knows like the "Valencia's lungs". This park has been suffered many fires in the last 100 years, and now people is trying to preserve it better.
This place has many different kinds of mediterranean vegetation, and it's the habitat for many different kinds of mediterranean fauna.

* ''Why did you select it?''

I selected it because the regional government is trying to create a Green Infrastructure, and this area (very close to Valencia, the capital of the region) in the future will be an important piece on this Infrastructure, because it's a big natural space, it's close to the city and it will be able to connect with other big natural areas.

* ''Is it exemplary for a specific theme or a problem?''

It's an exemple for how to introduce the natural spaces in urban areas, and how we can connect them

* ''In how far does it relate to your life?''

The town where I grow is under the first mountains of this Natural Park.
