Nagold has today an integrated urban green infrastructure, result from the Garden Exhibition which took place in the city center in 2012. The city park and city garden are on both sides of the river Nagold and connected to another park, the Riedbrunnen, through the renaturated river Waldach as a green corridor.
This green corridor along the Waldach River, which crosses the city from north to south, stops at the Viaduct, an important landmark in Nagold landscape that cutsthe center and its periphery. Beyond the viaduct no plan or design was developedso far, what reveals a disconnection between this area and the city center.

In the Brunnen Park, north side of viaduct, there are sport areas very uses by teenagers and a playground, each one in one side of the river. On weekends they are full of people, especially on summer, when kids also play in the Waldach’s water.

Nagolds’ City Planners together with Mr. Stefan Fromm, the landscape architect responsible for Garden exhibition project, decided to concentrate the event area around the old town until the borders of the viaduct on the south. The neighborhood beyond this border is composed by houses and residential building, commercial area and super-market, industrial buildings, all surrounded by nature protected areas. Here the car traffic is more intensive in comparison to downtown and we see fewer pathways forpedestrians.

The quality of the green spaces in Nagold is clearly perceived in the city center and we intent to think about possibilities to expand this quality to other parts of the city. We will start focusing on the south part, where the gap on the green structure is more evident, exploring the area along the Waldach river.

I chose this place because I actually worked on the site in the construction process in 2010-2011

There is the water treatment facility next to the site.Originally there was nothing at the site. In a couple years ago the government changed the rule of water treatment. They needed to lower the water temperature than a certain temperature. The water has to save somewhere to have them cooler before they combine to the river. They decided to create some landscapes to make more enjoyable spaces as well as the function of water cooling system.

Everyday we produce a lot of wasted water from our home or business. It seems easy to forget the fact, but we certainly affect to the water system and the nature by so doing.

After finishing my horticulture degree from OSU,I received a chance to work in the KURISU international,the landscape designing and construction company, who also specializes them in creating Japanese Garden globally.Here I develop the concept of the wetland and also the construction and horticultural practices and techniques as well as the Kurisu International’s concept.

This project is a quite unique event in the nation. They started the project from February 2010. They created the 50 acres wetland so called talking water garden next to the Albany Millersburg water treatment center. This place has basically 2 functions; the first function is to lower the temperature of the treated waste water from the Albany-Millersburg Water Reclamation Facility before it flows into the Willamette River and also purify the water through the water plants; the second function is to provide an attractive recreation area with several water falls,path way, variety of plants and water feature for people.

== Summary and conclusion ==
If you have this kind of place in your neighbors,it would be a blessing for everyday life.
They could construct an ordinary water pond just as a water cooling system next to their wasted water treatment facility before the Willamette River. However, they created as a huge wetland so that the wildlife can find their habitats and even the people can enjoy walking around there and the landscapes. It has been just a couple years since the construction was done. After 10-20 years when the plants grow bigger and vigorous, it would be more beautiful scenery and this site become a part of the real nature in Albany's neighborhood.

''From which professional background/perspective are your documenting this case?''

After finishing my horticulture degree from OSU,I received a chance to work in the KURISU international,the landscape designing and construction company, who also specializes them in creating Japanese Garden globally.Here I develop the concept of the wetland and also the construction and horticultural practices and techniques as well as the Kurisu International’s concept.

This project is a quite unique event in the nation. They started the project from February 2010. They created the 50 acres wetland so called talking water garden next to the Albany Millersburg water treatment center. This place has basically 2 functions; the first function is to lower the temperature of the treated waste water from the Albany-Millersburg Water Reclamation Facility before it flows into the Willamette River and also purify the water through the water plants; the second function is to provide an attractive recreation area with several water falls,path way, variety of plants and water feature for people.

If you have this kind of place in your neighbors,it would be a blessing for everyday life.
They could construct an ordinary water pond just as a water cooling system next to their wasted water treatment facility before the Willamette River. However, they created as a huge wetland so that the wildlife can find their habitats and even the people can enjoy walking around there and the landscapes. It has been just a couple years since the construction was done. After 10-20 years when the plants grows bigger and vigorous, it would be more beautiful sites and this site would become a part of the real nature of Alnany neighborhood.

They needed to make the water temperature lower than a certain temperature. The water has to save somewhere to have them cooler before they combine to the river. They decided to construct some landscape to make it more enjoyable space as well as the function of water channel.

This project is a quite unique event in the nation. They started the project from February 2010. They created the 50 acres wetland so called talking water garden next to the Albany Millersburg water treatment center. There is the water treatment facility next to the site.Originally there was nothing at the site. In a couple years ago the government changed the rule of water treatment. They needed to make the water temperature lower than a certain temperature. The water has to save somewhere to have them cooler before they combine to the river. They decided to construct some landscape to make it more enjoyable space as well as the function of water channel.

After finishing my horticulture degree from OSU,I received a chance to work in the KURISU international,the landscape designing and construction company, who also specializes them in creating Japanese Garden globally.Here I develop the concept of the wetland and also the construction and horticultural practices and techniques as well as the Kurisu International’s concept.

There is the water treatment facility next to the site.Originally there was nothing at the site. In a couple years ago the government changed the rule of water treatment. They needed to make the water temperature lower than a certain temperature. The water has to save somewhere to have them cooler before they combine to the river. They decided to construct some landscape to make it more enjoyable space as well as the function of water channel.

After finishing my horticulture degree from OSU,I received a chance to work in the KURISU international,the landscape designing and construction company, who also specializes them in creating Japanese Garden globally.Here I develop the concept of the wetland and also the construction and horticultural practices and techniques as well as the Kurisu International’s concept.

This project is a quite unique event in the nation. They started the project from February 2010. They created the 50 acres wetland so called talking water garden next to the Albany Millersburg water treatment center. This place has basically 2 functions; the first function is to lower the temperature of the treated waste water from the Albany-Millersburg Water Reclamation Facility before it flows into the Willamette River; the second function is to provide an attractive recreation area with path way, variety of plants and water feature for people.

There is the water treatment facility next the site.Originally there was nothing at the site. In a couple years ago the government changed the rule of water treatment. They needed to make the water temperature lower than a certain temperature. The water has to save somewhere to have them cooler before they combine to the river. They decided to construct some landscape to make it more enjoyable space as well as the function of water channel.

After finishing my horticulture degree from OSU,I received a chance to work the KURISU international,landscape designing and construction company, who also specializes them in creating Japanese Garden globally.Here I develop the concept of the wetland and also the construction and horticultural practices and techniques as well as the Kurisu International’s concept.

This project is a quite unique event in the nation. They started the project from February 2010. They created the 50 acres wetland so called talking water garden next to the Albany Millersburg water treatment center. This place has basically 2 functions; the first function is to lower the temperature of the treated waste water from the Albany-Millersburg Water Reclamation Facility before it flows into the Willamette River; the second function is to provide an attractive recreation area with path way, variety of plants and water feature for people.

I chose this place because I actually worked on the site for the construction process in 2010-2011

There is the water treatment facility next the site.Originally there was nothing at the site. In a couple years ago the government changed the rule of water treatment. They needed to make the water temperature lower than a certain temperature. The water has to save somewhere to have them cooler before they combine to the river. They decided to construct some landscape to make it more enjoyable space as well as the function of water channel.

This project is a quite unique event in the nation. They started the project from February 2010. They created the 50 acres wetland so called talking water garden next to the Albany Millersburg water treatment center. This place has basically 2 functions; the first function is to lower the temperature of the treated waste water from the Albany-Millersburg Water Reclamation Facility before it flows into the Willamette River; the second function is to provide an attractive recreation area with path way, variety of plants and water feature for people.
